Chosen from a group of seedlings left in our care by Dr. Galyon, Tanager Pink, Tanager Peach, Tanager Lemon, and Tanager Rose are all new for 2011. Dr. Galyon's primary focus in his breeding efforts with Daylilies was to create flowers for the late season, so as you might expect, all of these new introductions are late to very late season bloomers. Here in our zone 6 gardens, we never expect to see scapes on these flowers until at least mid to late July.
