We are Doug and Becky Holder and we hope you enjoy the expanded selection that we have to offer for the 2011 season.

Southern Skies Gardens is situated on five acres just outside of Oliver Springs, Tennessee about thirty minutes west of Knoxville. Our plants are field grown in our 6B garden where freeze/thaw cycles and very little snow cover are common.  Only the hardiest plants are kept in our inventory and sent to you.

We have added many new cultivars to our sales list this season and hope to continue to do so each and every year.  The main focus in our private collection and in our hybridizing efforts has been toward adding flowers from little known hybridizers as well as little known flowers from well known hybridizers which keeps our genetics nicely mixed. We hope to be able to extend this concept into our sales list in the coming seasons.  If there is a flower or hybridizer that you’ve been looking for and can’t seem to find, check with us first, and maybe you’ll get lucky!

We gladly invite visitors to view the gardens or just stop by for a visit anytime from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Our peak bloom is around mid to late June, give or take a week or two.  A call ahead is appreciated (865-525-1833) so that we can be sure someone will be there to meet you.  We hope that if you are ever in the area, you will find the time to stop by and visit.
